Ok folkes, now that we are over the disappointment of alloa lets turn our attention to getting promoted through the playoff's.the club and the team needs our support more than ever,so put yesterday aside and get behind my/your/our club.

Balloon Boy

it'll take a lot longer than a day to get over the dissapointment of not winning the league, i'll still be there on saturday but don't know if i can drum up any enthususiasm fro the playoffs.....

the players owe us promotion as a minimum, cant see there being any wild celabrations like the last time though if it happens....

Agree, feels like this season is just going to fizzle out.

Trouble is we're going to be down to the bare bones again going into the play offs.
Hate the thought of another season playing Forfar and Brechin in front of 1,000 with zero atmosphere.

Ok.. I'm tempted to lock this topic till 16:45 on Saturday.

It's not over until it's over and I totally get everyone's frustration but at the moment we still have a game to win and hope that Alloa have some professional pride and not play a reserve team with an eye on the playoff games.

As for next season.. that's just too depressing to think about at the moment, ask me post playoffs  :-X

I think the big crowd/predicted party atmosphere motivated the Alloa players yesterday  - maybe the same next Saturday at Raith? Unless I am reading the league wrong if Alloa win/ Arbroath don't or Alloa draw/Arbroath lose next Saturday then Alloa finish 3rd and play either us or Raith - they may see that as an incentive to have a go.

No doubt Alloa will do us a favour and we will lose to Albion Rovers.

With Albion Rovers still needing Queens Park to not win to prevent them going straight down, if it is all tight late on could be a pseudo repeat of the '86 game against Stirling.

Ayr Apparent

I don't see any point in this topic. As League One Champions, Ayr United will not be involved in the play-offs.

Could this thread be offered to a Raith fans forum ?

Ok just in case I for required.

And should we manage to edge past Arbroath in the playoff semis I assume the second leg would be at Dumbarton or at Ayr should Alloa win their semi-final?

Just making sure we don't have the possibility of the same journey to the Ochils on a Sunday afternoon  :-X

Sorry just read the SPFL release, it will be Dumbarton or Ayr for the second leg of the final.

TonyH

A possible 4 games in 12 days for our injury ravaged squad.
Can't say I'm full of confidence.

Lagaan

No still haven't recovered from the horror of it all. At least the 4am nightmares have stopped for now. Alloa are 4th equal on points with Arbroath. If they have any sense they will field a full strength team and will try to secure 3rd because the highest ranked team retains home advantage in the second leg play off finals. Surely something worth fighting for? Also Queens Park will be going all out for a win against Arbroath to avoid automatic relegation. Alloa's manager will also want momentum going into the play offs so they should be motivated to beat Raith.

Balloon Boy

lets hope alloa win it....they deserve it on recent form & Raiths heids will be down.....

MOD67

Don't overly care coz it's not us, I actually want the best sized clubs as possible, Partick, Dundee, Raith ect, get rid of dross like Ross County, Glumbarton and Lavvy, sorry but that means a no to decent clubs like Arbroath and Alloa. Lets back ourselves against decent sized clubs with decent away supports surely that will mean larger crowds and a better budget. Sensible signings and re signings and we should fear no one.
