QuoteSomerset Park is the place to be on Tuesday night to cheer on Ayr United in their quest for promotion to the Premier League.

The players have exceeded all expectations this season to qualify for the play-offs and the Club have made a fantastic gesture by reducing admission prices for the game to just £12 adult and £6 concessions with under 12's FREE accompanied by an adult.

Win 3 x 2 legged ties and Ayr will be back in the top flight for the first time in 41 years. Come along and give them your support

C'mon You Honest Men

Love this quote. Who cares. Put recent results, playoffs is completely different situation so support the team and let's do this👍

Well said totally agree a big ask but never expected to be there

Disappointed we couldn't hold on to 3rd place but Tuesday night is when we need everyone to pull together to give us a fighting chance for Saturday. Hopefully a 3000 + crowd will come along and cheer on the lads.

Inthe post match interview McCall sounds happy to have avoided having to go to Inverness on Wednesday night.

yes, the extra day recovery and no midweek travel.

Really hope we can get a result on Tuesday and make Saturday a little easier. Worst case is Inverness do another 7-0  :'(

Interesting comments from McCall on the matter -

QuoteAyr United manager Ian McCall says "it's utterly pathetic" to expect his side to play four games in 11 days during the Premiership play-offs.

He claims the rules are a "carve up" to favour the side finishing second bottom of the top flight

Excuses in early or look how great we did defying the odds.

Also just stating what everyone else is thinking, but that's been the way since the playoff was devised. Didn't realise no 3rd or 4th place team have been promoted via it.

Looks like the Railway end may be open tonight (subject to final away crowd numbers), so here's hoping for a decent crowd and backing the team.

Disappointed but not surprised.
We keep hearing how teams have 'sussed us out', well that's five times we've played Inverness and we still haven't sussed out how to play against them !

Wee budget, wee squad, injurys to key players.all in all i am happy with our first season back in the championship where we belong.

ICT will be ecstatic, they played five big guys at the back and one man up front, clearly hoping to keep it tight and they came away with a 3-1 win. They were also far more direct and purposeful going forward.

Need pace and directness on Saturday - summed up late on Forrest getting the ball and running at pace from left to right touchline as he faced a wall of hammer throwers and there was no way through.

We are not Liverpool, so will be amazed if we can get this back. Need to start McCowan.

Positive assistance from the directors to support travel to Inverness.  ;D

We are hoping to run 3 busses to Inverness on Saturday leaving from the ship inn at 9am with help from the directors the cost has now been slashed from £20 to £5 YES £5. We have 70 booked so far and 100 seats available so please book ASAP so as your not disappointed.

well done again the directors, they deserve great credit for this.  the game isnt over till its over & many will regret not travelling if we manage to pull it off.

Also a chance to thank the players for an outstanding season if we dont & say goodbye to quite a few, i wouldnt miss it for the world.....

Emotional scenes at the end we are Ayr  :'(

Good to hear Ian McCall saying he wants to build a squad to win it next season.
Can't wait to see who he brings in and can't wait for the start of the new season, bring it on !

John Robertson moaning about questionable refereeing decisions in their game against Dundee United last night, given the debatable nature of their second goal and their penalty last week is a bit cheeky.

Couldn't believe the way Robertson was going on about the ref.
He must have forgotten about last week's officials handing them victory on a plate.
