Too many Pars fans saying how poor they are and predicting victory for us though I'd sure take it

I have a family member who supports Dunfermline and they stated before the season started an easy 12 points for Dunfermline this season.,,, so for that reason alone I really hope we score ten this weekend and take the 3 points. [emoji2]

Quite often when a manager is disparate for a result there is one freak result which buys them some time, just really hope itís not this weekend and In fact super Ayr put the final nail in AJís departure.

Would love us to horse them and for AJ to get the bullet after a post match interview where he claims if you take away the x goals Ayr scored, Dunfermline were by far the better team.

Also El Baktouhi to get sent off for diving.

A few of us are going down to see Macclesfield v Port Vale and a couple of nights in Stockport. Booked in July when I thought "I don't fancy trailing to Fife struggling in the league just before xmas and getting gubbed". Stupid boy.

However Ayr's record when I'm not there is mostly good so I'm confident.

Hopefully, the team can get back on track tomorrow after letting a comfortable 3-1 half-time lead slip last Saturday. The defence will need to get their act together as they were distinctly edgy in the second half, albeit in difficult conditions.

Dunfermline have been a bit of a bogey team for us in the past, so we will have to play well to get anything out of the game.

I'll go for a 2-1 win for Ayr with Michael Moffat getting both goals against his old team.

Merry Xmas to all Honest Men (and ladies) everywhere.

Oh well, a 0 - 0 draw doesn't leave much to say right now. Doubtless a few folk will be convinced this means relegation. :D  For most of us, however, we can enter the festive season knowing we are one point off the top with a home game in hand. For the rest, the season is halfway through, so we do indeed have the potential to be top at the end of the season.

Merry Christmas everyone!

(Optimistic old git now heading for first drink of the evening)

Listened to the game on AU Media, sounded like we were far from our best and were under real pressure in the 2nd half and were lucky to get a draw.
Still came away with a point  and a clean sheet  so no complaints from me.
If we were in Alloa's position i'd be happy, the fact that we are disappointed to ''only'  be 2nd says it all.

A poor Dunfermline team against an out-of-sorts Ayr United. result 0-0.

Defence were good but we created very little. When the one big chance arrived it was the man we would all want it to fall to who missed a sitter, followed by a chorus of  ' Everybody loves Lawrence Shankland'. Unlucky Lawrence, you deserve every bit of backing you get.

As for the imbecile who chastised Ross Doohan for mis-hitting a ball  out the park with " You can get back to Parkhead with a clearance like that", please be reading this and do us all a favour...don't come back.

Just a little reminder ( especially to the clown who thinks Doohan should " get back to Parkhead" ).
This time last year we lost 2-0 at Airdrie then the following week were beaten 3-2 at home by Forfar.

Really can't square away the perception in the match reports that Shankland somehow putting the ball just wide of the post from 12-14 yards was a "howler" or a "glaring miss" and the reality in the match highlights - you would given his recent record have expected him to score but was hardly a shocking miss - kept it down, hit with power just a wee bit off target.

Good to see the defense back to it's solid best. Shows how far we have come that we are disappointed to come away from East End Park, a scene of many horror shows, with a point from a goalless draw.

After reading all the stuff on social media watched the highlights expecting to see Shankland miss an open goal from a couple of feet !
Nowhere near as bad as was made out, Moffs miss was much worse.
