That's a good read in the Ayrshire Post

Just what we want to hear from Lachlan when he says that this is a once in a generation chance to go for the topflight, and Lawrence has a huge value to this club and is vital to what we're doing

Couldn't agree more Mr Cameron

Mon Ayr, Mon Super Ayr !!!!!!!

I keep checking the transfer news to see if there's any Shankland updates. To be honest I think it's because I secretly hope we get an offer and he goes. I know I'm in the minority but i'd take any decent money now over losing him for free in a few months.

It's OK to feel that way Jeff your not alone.
There hasn't been a full set of Accounts ( issued to shareholders ) following the decision to go Full Time. So whilst the League looks GREAT, the 'cost' of that view has yet to be revealed.

[ Insert team pick of Gretna at Scottish Cup Final, here ]

Whilst there is a debate to be had about selling / not selling Shankland, there is NO DOUBT that a Share Issue with Directors exchanging their Loans for Equity would be in the very best Interests of Ayr United Financially.

IMO Securing a Sell-On Clause, could be more valuable than any Financial Rewards for League Placings, AND have a greater chance of fruition.

Call me cynical if you like, but Shankland being out of tomorrow's game with a mystery 'minor knock' tells me he's be on his way out of Somerset Park very soon!! Hope I'm wrong though.

I agree that the sell on could be more important. If he continues to incrementally improve as he has done, his next move could be in the millions. 25% of that would be most welcome!
