I hope McDaid gets a start. if anything be good to freshen the starting 11 and his 2nd half performance at Dingwall merits the start.

I have a sneaky feeling that Morton will be the team to take the most points off Ross County and apparently they also have a lot of injuries.

Hopefully at least a point to stop the drop in form ( ;D) and back to the top if my prediction comes true.

72% were correct with the away win.. FT 0-1 Super Ayr and back to winning ways and more important another 3 points in the bag. Going to be interesting week with Alloa up next.

In 77 minutes Michael Rose to the occasion!

(Yeah OK, I know that's dreadful but I couldn't resist it.)

Just watched the highlights and at first I wasn't sure what Shankland had done to merit a booking as the no. 6 cleans him out but it looks like he retaliated with a sly dig at the guys face with his right hand. It looked to be a bit tasty at times from what the highlights showed, almost like a derby match.

I like the fact we are a good footballing side but nice to see we are no pushovers either and able to give it back which other Ayr sides recently in this league haven't been able to do. That will help us grind out the results like yesterday which will either keep us in this league or even secure the promotion play off spot.

From the highlights it was definitely Rose's goal. Couldn't tell from the soundtrack whether the ref gave it at that point or when Moore nodded it in. Main thing is that we won.

We might have been lucky with that goal. The linesman didn't indicate the Rose header was over the line and Madden let it carry on until Moore bundled it over (with his arm?). Also, Moore said in his post-match interview with AUmedia that Madden was putting him down as the scorer. Yikes!

Apologies I didn't stick these up here last night:

We really did get lucky with the goal, could easily have been chopped off for handball (rightly so). There's no way the ref or linesman could have known if the ball was over the line, the highlights suggest it was fractionally so.

Ball over the line so academic and not the first thing that the officials didn't flag.

Great three points, real opportunity this week to go miles clear of Falkirk and Alloa.

Will take a scrappy goal and 3 points any day of the week.

Great away support yesterday and a result well deserved.  Took my 9-year-old nephew who lives in Glasgow along to the game (his first time ever watching Ayr Utd) and he's already asking his dad if he'll take him to Alloa on Tuesday!
