THEY MIGHT AT LEAST OF PUT HIM IN AN AYR SHIRT...

It's a black and white shirt.. easy to confuse.. Good grief I agree. Seems that basic research goes out the window these days regards the general press and getting a non-story issued.

Transfer fee, sell on clause and immediately loaned back would be ideal - for 18 months.

Swansea/Sunderland much bigger clubs - not sure about the Sunderland one as I thought it was Rose they were watching - sent a scout to the Dundee United game which he didn't play in- - and also given Jack Ross hunted Shankland from St Midden.

Likely to be a life changing opportunity on offer for him in January.

All that said I had heard it mooted that he might sign a year extension before January despite fully expecting to move on - just to make sure we get a better fee.

Worst thing that can happen is he signs a pre contract else where.

The Board should be making Lawrence a generous offer to sign an extension of his present contract till the end of next season at the very least, while making him a firm promise, off the record, that if a fantastic offer comes in for him in January or at the end of this season that we will release him from his contract.
It is a win-win situation for both Lawrence and AUFC.
It is the very least Lawrence can do for AUFC and Ian McCall as they been instrumental in reviving his flagging career.
There is also the distinct possibility that we could be playing in the Premier League next season, which is surely another incentive for Lawrence to stay.
Come on Board get it done now if you have any ambition for the future of the Club. I'm sure a few well-off fans might be persuaded to put their hands in their pockets to help with the finances. 8)

I think the Swansea interest is just newspaper talk.  They are supposed to be interested in Rodrigeuz at West Brom, while they have the Ayew brothers both out on loan.  I agree that Sunderland are interested in Michael Rose, as Jack Ross had Lawrence Shankland before and that ship has sailed.

Shankland at Ayr until the end of the season and then pull out all stops to keep him as a Premiership player in a Premiership team - Ayr United.  Well that's what is on my letter to Santa.
