not just about seats though. there are pages and pages of detail in the sfa manual outlining what you need to meet the various categories. a very boring and long read which I havent done!

but do you agree that it seems from the spfl's rules that you only need to achieve bronze status both for the championship and premiership?

re the Cameron interview, he was asked if he would be tempted to unleash the dollars for a January push to make the premiership

he replied Listen, if we have a genuine shot at going to the premiership, then of course we'll look at it. The financial implications of going up would totally change things for us.

Re the sale of the club he 'just' wants the 1m he's owed back - seems a slim chance of that to me.

wee joe, wondered where you got the bit about one years grace. the only thing I can see in the rules is the following:

with  respect  to  Clubs  entitled  to  play  in  the  Premiership  and  the
Championship have achieved and maintain with respect to stadia
criteria  at  least  the  Bronze  Standard  set  out  i
The  Scottish
Football  Association  National  Club  Licensing  Manual  in  force  and
as amended or supplemented from time to time

After last night's results only us losing 4 nil and hearts beating inverness 1 nil will see us not qualify. Not going to happen!

Jordan Marshall, an attacking 21 year old left back has left qos. supposed to be talking to Ayr

Really hard to understand what this really means. particularly as we have never been told what any years sponsorship is worth

Although if Raith only get a point at Stranraer we will win it on the Saturday whilst not playing.

87/88 would have been 88 at 3 points for a win but was 3 games more

Bizarre comment about worst catering in the week where our pie won the best pie in Scotland.

Great result, sorry I missed it.

Yup, they were working on the windows when I was down on Thursday!

AUFC Talk / Re: all time scorer
« on: August 22, 2017, 13:26:40  »
Duncan posted on Facebook. After his goal on Saturday Moff is on 72 Ayr goals, 12 behind sludden on 84 who is 10th on the all time list. Little chance of catching Price who scored 217 nearly a hundred ahead of everyone else. Only other relatively recent striker on list is Ingram in 4th.

AUFC Talk / Re: Away to Hibs
« on: July 31, 2017, 10:01:05  »
Hibs weren't seeded because they weren't one of the best 4 group winners - we were!
No one said it would have given us a great advantage but as there were 11 premiership teams in the draw 5 of whom were unseeded it was fairly likely we would get one Obviously a one in two chance to be at home which unfortunately we didn't get.

Don't get any extra money for being seeded. Teams knocked out in the second round get 35K, those in the third round 60k - not bad plus any tv money.

My estimate is

seeded teams celtic rangers aberdeen st johnstone falkirk dundee ayr motherwell

unseeded hearts dundee united ross county hibs kilmarnock hamilton partick thistle livingston

Not many easy games there although obviously winnable. don't want away to livi or ross county, home to killie again anyone?

by my reckoning the only way we can not qualify is if we lose and peterhead win with a swing of goal difference of 9!

AUFC Talk / Travel warning for Hibs game
« on: February 25, 2017, 11:06:49  »
Advance warning that Scotrail have unhelpfully scheduled engineering work next Saturday which means no trains between Ayr and Kilwinning meaning travel time will be at least 3 hours each way to Edinburgh.

Given the major roadworks on the M8 as well, almost as if they're trying to stop us getting there(I would go via EK now that the raith interchange is open.

Trouble is both Crawford and McDaid could be out through injury.
