AUFC Talk / Morton v Ayr.
« on: February 12, 2019, 10:27:17  »
Right back to action this weekend, not much news on the injury front but here's hoping as predicted Adams & Kerr available for selection.

Don't really care anymore about the manner of victory in these last few games as long as the 3 points are collected. Free flowing, goal scoring would be great but 3 points is all that matters.

All the media chat is about County & DUFC, so lets do our talking on the pitch and keep picking up the points and see what happens.

Prediction, close encounter but Ayr to edge it 2-1. (No repeat of the 5-1 - would be nice ;D)

Anyone got any additional info on the reserve game last night, believe it finished 5-0 to Ayr.

(Shinglis - Updated as Albion Rovers is next fixture, played East Kilbride last night - I think)

Semi interesting take on our current situation compared with Livvy last season from a Dunfermline Vlogger.

General Discussion / Roberts back in Management
« on: September 21, 2018, 10:24:48  »
Well love or hate him Mark Roberts is back in management with Queens Park following Gus MacPherson going to St Mirren.

We can confirm that Mark Roberts, previously assistant to Gus MacPherson, has taken the role of Caretaker Head Coach and will be in charge for Saturdayís League Two match against Edinburgh City at Hampden.

AUFC Talk / Tiffoney - Legal Action against Ayr.
« on: September 17, 2018, 15:26:13  »

Story about Tiffoney taking AUFC to court.

I would like to think this is going no-where except on lawyer fees, he must be getting some poor information if he thinks there is a genuine case and more scary thinks he would win any size-able amount of money.

If he did win, what chance the fans could take him to court for pain & suffering of watching some of his performance.  :o

AUFC Talk / Queens Park Sign a Keeper.

Jordan Hart signs for Queens Park.

Good luck to him, just not on our game (Irn Bru Cup) on the 14th Aug.

Taken this from the SRE FB Group.
Perspective is a funny thing. I've watched as many ask about new faces and comments we've only resigned players etc and I met a long time Dunfermline fan today who said he was really worried they could go down as they've lost a lot of their squad.
He then said... "Ayr have done really well keeping the majority of that good squad together it's really worrying for us but you guys MUST be happy" .......... just another perspective

So on the assumption that Super Ayr are staying up, who is likely to be the teams below us, are Dunfermline in such a bad way, what about the expectations of Alloa, they probably fancy their chances same as Dumbarton did for a few years.

Looking at the league it's very difficult to pick an outright winner, Dundee Utd still in chaos, but would have to assume will be better, will Ross County be suffering relegation restructure. In short I can't wait for the season to start and just hope that Ayr are good mid table by Christmas and possibly challenging for the top 4 but this is Ayr so also have a nagging doubt, relegation dog fight pending.

AUFC Talk / Best Striker this season.
« on: March 23, 2018, 12:43:18  »
So who do we think has been the best striker this season, Shankland because of the number of goals, or possibly Moffat for assists & goals.  As I'm sure it will be confirmed that Shankland will be player of the season and would propose the best striker this season, because of the number of goals and general play this season.

Current Top 5 Goalscorers
1   Lawrence Shankland   23
2   Craig Moore   15
3   Michael Moffat   10
4   Alan Forrest   7
5   Declan McDaid   7

AUFC Talk / Commercial Update.
« on: February 21, 2018, 10:51:01  »
Not a bad general update on how to fleece the support for cash.  Signs of progress with season tickets & new season strips on sale by the end of the season. The murder mystery night sounds a but strange but hey something different and at least trying new things.

The stadium tour by Duncan was excellent last time. Pretty sure from memory the only football stadium still to have a chimney on the roof.  ;D
