AUFC Talk / Scotland u-21 squad
« on: September 04, 2018, 10:29:33  »
Ok , i know they are all new players to us this season, but apart from when Stevie Nicol & Bobby Conner filled the 2 full back berths; have we ever been able to say that we could have potentially the 2 full backs & the goalie coming from
Ayr United ...?

Well done Ross, Liam & Daniel, hope you all get a game....

AUFC Talk / Raith squeeky bum time....
« on: March 05, 2018, 11:56:14  »
Raith are obviously desperate to get their suspended players playing on Saturday, from the forfar athletic website:

"Forfar Athletic and Raith Rovers have agreed following an initial request from Rovers officials and following consultation with the SPFL to make an attempt to play tomorrow’s postponed fixture at Station Park on Tuesday evening of next week, the 6th of March with a 7.45p.m. kick-off.

This of course will be subject to a distinct improvement in the current weather conditions and the situation will be assessed on Monday."

don't think it'll matter much to us, i think we'll still comfortably (well in an Ayr united sense) beat them........

« on: November 17, 2017, 07:43:04  »
Don't know if this has been posted pon here before but makes for interesting reading though calling the moffs play as not easy on the eye is a bit oiff the mark.

Also noticed that Watford & Sunderland have bween watching McGuffie & unknown clubs have been watching Robbie......

AUFC Talk / Arbroath at Home
« on: August 23, 2017, 07:44:14  »
Sitting 4th but still looks like a comfortable home win though i would hope we could tighten up at the back a bit, still think we need a left sided midfielder, out first 11 looks strong but the bench doesn't.........

Hopefully East Fife can take something from Raith before we face them in 2 weeks

AUFC Talk / Full Time Fitba
« on: May 18, 2017, 10:44:22  »
Although i welcome the news of full time Fitba next season i  have to wonder why we are trying to rent facilities from the West of Scotland cricket club for monday & Tuesday & then training at Belmont academy Thursday & Friday night, sound s a bit like a hybrid full time part time set up?  There is a ralatively unused great qualoity football park at Belmont School that could easily be used 5 days a week albeit i don't know about changing facilities, suppose they could always change at somerset & get bussed out to Belmont.........

AUFC Talk / Declan McDaid
« on: February 22, 2017, 07:41:55  »
Anyone know how serious his injury is, i think he has brought a lot of energy to the team that was badly needed, just need to get the ball to his feet more.....?

AUFC Talk / Conrad Balatoni
« on: January 06, 2017, 12:34:15  »
well done to Conrad & the board for turning down a 5 figure sum from an overseas club, glad to hear he wanted to stay as well.....it does look likeley we'll lose him at the end of the season right enough but lets just enjoy having him while he's here, stands out like a sore thumb every week............

AUFC Talk / Craig Moore
« on: September 29, 2016, 07:41:23  »
I see in the ayrshire post that a comeback for Craig may be a long way away, apparantly he has had a setback in his recovery having only started being able to drive recently & any comeback could be months away, hope he gets well soon.

I think we need to be looking at a replacement, either short term or for the season

AUFC Talk / What is our official home kit exactly?
« on: May 03, 2016, 12:29:33  »
Have seen all different combinations with the white shirt, white shorts & socks, black shorts and socks & black shorts & white socks...

We seemed to start the season with the black shorts & socks combo when we were on our unbeaten run but now wseemed to have reverted to black shorts & white socks.....just wondering to keep mu mind off the game tonight....

AUFC Talk / Is it better to finish 2nd or 3rd in the league....?
« on: March 03, 2016, 12:58:40  »
Maybe a bit early but..........bearing in mind in the play offs, the team that finishes 2nd has the home leg last & Ayr would carry a much larger support up to Peterhead on a Saturday away day than a wednesday night.......?

Still love to defy the odds and woin the league but just wondering..........?

AUFC Talk / What's happened to Brian Gilmour?
« on: May 13, 2015, 09:48:21  »
...Not the player but the one that was going to take over the reins of the club, build a stadium, & guide us to the premier league?  I wasn't expecting anything too immediate due to the lack of activity in our othere forays into this territory, but I certainly didn't expect it all to go silent , especially after him going to bother of getting artists impressions done of such a high standard............anyone in the know?
