Alloa v Ayr U
« on: April 09, 2018, 09:18:21 »
I know it's a little early but thought would start the thread for the alloa game as the travel supporters bus information needs more attention. Going to a massive game what-ever the result this weekend.

Quote
We now have 6 buses going to alloa - bus 6 is half full.

Please book ASAP to allow us to go try and book more buses  if required

These buses will all be leaving from the Hospitality Suite at the Club and one bus will be stopping at Charring Cross Glasgow for pick ups.

The hospitality suite will open at 10am.

Please spread the word and get your seats booked as soon as possible to help in the organisation of each bus

           Alloa  V   Ayr

          Sunday 22nd April

Buses leaving 1pm

To book a seat please txt or phone

Everyone must go into the Hospitality Suite to pay so we know that everyone has shown up and will be given a bus number they are travelling on

Just a reminder alcohol is prohibited on the buses

Theres no way Raith will not beat Queens Park at home next week and I think they will pick up at least a point down at Stranraer the day before this game.

This is the game to finish it.

Although if Raith only get a point at Stranraer we will win it on the Saturday whilst not playing.

Not sure those bus times are right - leaving at 1pm for a 4:10 kick off? Alloa isn't that great!

Confirmed with travel club buses leaving at 1pm.

Should add... that's the plan, but getting everyone out the hospitality area may be tricky  ;D

Its about 15 minutes walk from the town centre. A few pubs plus a Wetherspoons.

I remember being in a pub in Alloa before we won the title there in 1988. Willie Furphy was in that pub! It turned out that he had a hamstring injury anyway. Ian McAllister missed the game owing to a family bereavement and Robert Brown was in the starting line-up. A week earlier he had been playing for East Kilbride Juveniles. What a match for a debut! We can be certain that Ally built up his confidence.

Planning on travelling up to the Alloa game from the Isle of Arran with my old man, is the game all ticket or pay at the gate?

No announcement yet so suspect still pay at the gate but suggest getting to the ground early, may be a queue to get in.  ;D

Travel to Alloa.

We have 9 full buses.

To assist in the operation of all buses, there will be someone from the travel club in the club shop at the following times.

Friday 2-4

You can pay for your bus and be allocated your ticket for the bus you are travelling on.

On Sunday the Admin Office will be open from 11.00 to take payments from those who cannot make it into shop on previous days.

Hospitality Suite will be open from 10 serving hot rolls until 11.30 while available.

Space is limited to 130 people so come early to avoid disappointment.

Buses will be parked in the car park at Somerset at 12.30.

Please make sure you have paid for your bus before this time.

Buses will start loading from 12.45

Totally agree with the above statement. End of the day, it's still in our own hands, but a little favor from Stranraer would be a nice little bonus.

Don't think Stranraer will do us any favours. My money is on the average age of their starting eleven being twenty.

One thing that could go in our favour on Sunday (but against us on the last day) is that the team who are fourth play Dumbarton. If I was an alloa, I would probably fancy the prospects of beating them than us or Raith. Maybe clutching at straws a bit!
